MDF 2010 NEWS

It's with great regret that we have to announce the cancellation of Spanish grindcore legends HAEMORRHAGE. The band was forced to drop off the festival after their vocalist was unable to get out of his work commitments. Both the band and MDF are as bummed as you about this news, and we will be working with them to hopefully bring them back for the 2011 edition of the festival.
Grindcore/death metal pioneers REPULSION will be taking their place in a rare East Coast appearance.

We're very pleased to announce that Swedish death metal legends N2002 have been confirmed to appear at MDF 2010. This will be their first ever appearance outside of Sweden, and they will appear on Sunday, May 30th. Formed in 1988, the band helped lay the foundation for what the Swedish death metal scene would become and influenced countless bands that followed.

Many people have been asking what time each day of the fest starts. We're still working on set times for each day and can't pinpoint an exact time, but it's safe to plan for 3:30 pm on Friday, and 12:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Again, these times aren't exact, but won't be off by more than 30 minutes. Set times for each day will be posted no later than the end of April.
Don't forget about the MDF pre-fest party at Sonar on Thursday, May 27th. Tickets for this show are $15 advance or $17 at the door.

Due to a conflict with their upcoming recording schedule, Malevolent Creation have cancelled their appearance at MDF 2010. Their replacement will be announced sometime next week. As their replacement is 99% confirmed, we are not accepting requests for a band to fill the vacant spot.
In the meantime, we've decided to add From Ashes Rise to the Sunday edition of MDF 2010 because, well, we're fans of the band and we were happy to fit them on the bill.
16 have also cancelled their appearance at MDF 2010 and have been replaced by Black Breath.

The trailer for "Maryland Deathfest: The Movie" is now online!
Visit www.mdfthemovie.com for all of the latest news about the movie.
It will be screening continuously at MDF 2010, and it will also be possible to purchase the DVD at the fest.
We don't have any other news at this time. Fest preparations are running smoothly, and we'll be posting set times for each day of the fest no later than the end of April.
DECEMBER 15, 2009
D.R.I. have been confirmed for MDF 2010. We won't be announcing anymore bands.

Below is the flyer for the MDF 2010 pre-fest party. Tickets for this show are $15 and are available to purchase at this location.
We're still sorting out the final details with the last few bands that will be announced for MDF 2010.
Please note that we are not booking any additional bands other than the few bands that we're currently finalizing details with.
